ABOUT KYC - KEEP YOUR COMPOSURE
Before there was KYC, there was Comp.
I’m Mike Comp, a San Antonio artist and muralist, and Comp is short for Composure.
The funny thing is, when that became my artist name, I wasn't always particularly good at keeping mine.
Over the years, life gave the name a different meaning.
Through the highs, the lows, the mistakes, the growth, and a whole lot of learning, I started to understand that composure isn't something you're simply born with.
It's something you practice.
NEVER TOO HIGH. NEVER TOO LOW.
Not because you shouldn't celebrate the highs.
Not because you shouldn't feel the lows.
And definitely not because keeping your composure means pretending everything is okay.
It's about trying not to lose yourself in either one.
THE PRACTICE
Finding your center. Learning from it. Losing it sometimes. Finding it again.
That's the practice.
And that's why the first KYC collection is called THE PRACTICE.
The clothing reflects that same tension. Raw brushstrokes and spray paint sit beside clean, controlled typography.

Every detail has a reason for being there.
The 210 represents San Antonio—the city where I was born, raised, became an artist, and built my career.
But those three numbers mean something else, too.
2/10 is my daughter Logan’s birthday.
So 210 represents two pieces of home at the same time.
THE CITY THAT MADE ME.
THE PERSON I DO IT FOR.
STILL PRACTICING.
KYC didn't start because I thought the world needed another clothing brand.
It started with something I've spent years trying to understand myself.
I'm still learning it.
I'm still practicing it.
And I probably always will be.
